Value by Boluwatife

Why is value esteemed?
Oftentimes, we've heard people talk about value. Some even go to the extent of asking you the amount of value you've added to yourself. This actuality hence places emphasis on value. Meanwhile, the question is;  are you ready to add value? If NO, hmmmm that is not good enough. In fact, for the fear of extinction (limbo of dead memories). Who doesn't want to stay relevant? This why adding value to one self at times is similar as the need to feed daily as a human entity.
Value is an investment you know right?! It is a determination to invest critically, intentionally, physically and morally on oneself. Anyone who thinks about value and it benefits is doing themselves a whole lots of good. At this point, one must know that adding value to oneself is of course not a child's play. It requires hard work, tenacity and it can be a painful engagement when the type of value you choose to add seems difficult. Also, value could be negative or positive.
Value connotes quality that renders an entity or something relevant, desirable, interesting and phenomenon. Examining value from another point of view could mean the degree of importance given to something or someone. Still on value, a female preacher said in her sermon using this illustration that when you go to a boutique to buy a wristwatch, it is possible for the buyer to see different collections or types. In fact, price may even differ. The buyer gets to see the one he/she can sample with and the other untouchable. Hence, the former is not costly while the latter is expensive. In the same vein, values are distinguishable. The regard that someone or something is held to deserve the importance, worth or usefulness.
Let's bring this topic home, as an individual, you are expected to add value to yourself. Don't be stagnant. You have to be distinguished for relevance. Value makes you stand out. Differentiates you from the common, cowards. Value can be in categories. The choice is yours. Do you desire financial value or increase? Earn it!  Do you desire moral values? Improve on yourself! Or probably, you want to advance in knowledge, then you must submit yourself to obligatory learning. Even after you must have amassed all of these, don't stop. Keep learning. The Quest for value never ends.
