When I was little
I was stubborn n' innocent
I would eat n' not wash my feet
Lick coke bottle
at times n' not clean my teeth,
my body. Hawk goods after school
Took stubble around my sixth
Sometimes take pawpaw
In only the morning or night
Lift woods at sawmill for saw
dust in my head I had it right
Dandruff was much like oceans' salt
Scars have my skin's
My mat was flat
Cloths on I held with pins
The same slippers last two years
were at my sixth my Christmas wears
When I was little, I have no fears
No hard thoughts but to play with tears.
