A short short story by Jodekss

Characterisation:
Deglede
Fedeh
Geledh.
Ifa priestess(Iya Eleh)
Meisy's daughter.

Fedeh:
Where would we get a head for the sacrifice as arranged Deglede? If we fail to do what ought to be done at the right time the village would start to suffer the consequence soon, starting with my son.

Geledh:
It is all my fault, I shouldn't have troubled the gods where they rest. All I was looking for was fun, not for everything to be in kilter this way. This thing we do just like that back in the city, we take shots of anything and have 'em, you know, uploaded on social networks. Why worrying myself telling you all this! Nobody knows about civilisation or internet here, too bad!

Fadeh:
Shut up, I said shut up, you still have the guts to talk ehn! You still have the guts to talk about civilisation when the gods are all ready mad at you. Your mouth would rotten first, then your manhood, each part one after the other would spoil, till you leave this world behind bad to the gods for further punishments.

Geledh:
Don't scare me papua, I am no kid, there's nothing like gods, those statute are just some artful works only and...

Fadeh:
Ah, artful works! I said shut up, I am your father and I command you to shut your mouth. I knew by your mouth, you would one day cause me trouble the day you were born, it looked long and coarse like a cassava stem. Be quiet ehn, shut it up, keep it all quiet... Keep... it quiet!

Geledh:
Ah ah! Papa, leave my mouth ah! Let me talk, I am telling the fact Papa!

Fadeh:
What fact? Deglede, you know am in boiling soup, this city son doesn't know how furious these gods could be when sinned against and not appeased at the appropriate time. He is my only son, others are females! Help me out friend. You remember what happened with Meisy's daughter two moons ago!

Deglede:
...

Fadeh:
Why, looking at me like that?

Deglede:
I know the number of sacrifices you made to have him, I am aware of everything. However, I have been to the city before and I have seen how life is there, so social, so much of interesting activities. I would always tell you to come with me to the city but you'd say no, this is a civilised world Papa Geledh.

Fadeh:
What! I can't believe this, what are you now implying ehn! I should go back home and go and take Iyan and Egusi, top up Emu and take one of my wives to bed, pretending all is fine right!

Deglede:
Be at peace! All is fine! I do not see anything wrong with the pictures your son took. Moreover, he'd deleted them. To be honest and to be blunt, I hate the blabbing part of your attitude Geledh, you don't just know when to stop talking. You are hopeless!

Geledh:
Not really, the...

Deglede:
Shut up, I said shut up, you see... Ahem! Listen, the two of you, be very attentive. I went to Iya Eleh's - the Ifa priestess's. I discussed everything with her, she asked Ifa severally, on what to use to appease the gods you said are mad with your son. She came with another thing entirely. She said, "nothing". "Nothing only", "the gods have seen how good life is in the cities and how pictures are been taken there", she added. I guess now, "the gods are not mad but want more pictures", she concluded.

Geledh:
Wow! That is what I am saying!

Fadeh:
Ah ah! Be quiet. Ah, this is madness! Deglede, seriously, on this one, I distrust you, it doesn't make any sense.

Deglede:
Well, I saw that coming! What do you plan we do now?

Geledh:
Yes, I have one...

Fadeh:
Shut up! Let us all go back to our Ifa priestess, I want to hear it with my own
ears!

Exeunt:
Deglede and Fadeh.

Geledh:
These people are so Barbados! And papa's own is worse, eh!

Exeunt:
Geledh.

Entered:
Ifa priestess, Deglede, Fadeh and Geledh.

Ifa priestess:
Deglede, I hope all is fine with you!

Deglede:
It is about the issue you helped me to ask Ifa about yesterday. This is the friend I was talking about.

Ifa Priestess:
May Ifa bless you! But I have told you everything Ifa revealed to me yesterday, haven't I? I told you Ifa said the gods are not mad but that they want more pictures. I don't, unnecessarily ask Ifa the same question over and over again.

Geledh:
Oooh! That is simple, I would go and take more when we leave here!

Ifa priestess:
And who on earth are you, who is that young man Deglede?

Fadeh:
He is the youngest of my children and my only surviving son, Geledh. He is the one who did what ought not to be done!

Ifa priestess:
May Ifa forgive you and bless you.

Geledh:
Amen ma!

Ifa priestess:
Ifa is not like us man, he talks in parable, meaning, in unearthly language or words, that he said the gods want more pictures doesn't mean you'd go there and take more shots, understood? Are you from the city young man?

Geledh:
Yes ma'am!

Fadeh:
Education has spoilt him, if I had known I would've pinned him down here from birth to farm beside me here.

Ifa priestess:
Don't be worried old man, everything happens for a purpose. To my understanding, that is how they do in the cities these days, all my children are there too, I have forbidden them from taken pictures of anything the gods or Ifa wouldn't like to share with the outside world when they come home. As I was saying, Ifa is parabial, what Ifa implied was that we should encourage civilisation in our village here, to be in meetness with the outside world. You see, the gods and Ifa want what's best for us!

Fadeh:
Thank you Ifa priestess. I am now at peace, having known the gods are not mad with my son and with our peaceful village! Thank you my friend too!

Deglede:
Don't thank me, what are friends for! Let's just thank your son, his mistake has given us a go to begin the journey to be as civilised as the cities are down there! We are blind before but its a thing of the past from today henceforth. The message of Ifa shall reach our Oba and all the heads in this village. We should start from there.

Fadeh:
Hmmn! Everything works together for good really. It looks odd and it's good at the same time!

Geledh:
Aww... The gods are not mad but want more pictures!

Exeunt:
All.

The End.

Status quo

Come to compone the cheaply trend of fine fiat to spree
Alongside the skyrocketed tags done on goods we
find it dearly disheartening at the mo
to own one kobo to buy one man's woman's mango
Town is dry and the city cannot hold
Foods are scarce and the few friendly are sickly cold
Water with our grounds when called are scared to show
and the worth of the rainfalls cannot cure this heat's flow

The governors are good; they are the processed devil
They are the white clouds holding rainstorms of weevil
They are the tall rich and pompous giants
Deriving delight as fats feeding on us ants
As tall as they are they poke the heaven loose
Set the rules for the weevils to come in and cruise
Feed on our stone-filled rice and chaff-riddened beans
To hide their big heads and fat families in their haven
Gloat us breaking frosh bread from their imported oven
And their children, children's children, friends and thugs
Take our sufferings as sport, betting on us like rugs

Revolution must come not from us but from above
Revolution must come not from above but from us
Each hand must work hard and forget the federalism that is not democratic
Each head must reason and think hard for sufficiency by being authentic
Lazy dry bones must rise and walk and work and watch
All these ladies on street's sides selling their sweet pies
must repair their zip and take up the mantle of warrior
No government cares because they said they care
As nature will always demand we eat and drink to live

Money buys food
Foods fetch money
Workers plant food
Foods are sold for money
Not working hard now and smart
Thrusts slowly, a spear to the heart.

🅜🅐🅡🅨: Nothing? And you let go without a knock. I actually learnt of no noise coming from that angle this morning. My friend, you are being too light.

Maiden's Cry by Odunayo Adenike

Image may contain: 5 people, people smiling, people standing and people sitting
On one of those days, the sun was bigly up the horizon of the day to the south; it was around a rather calmly sunny Sunday in the month of May when our corn would come in its way with those disgustingly ogrish flies with whose boozing chats would wake a stony dead and bites are as itchy as hell... Before I would note it as I was reminiscing about my usual fantasy of a fact I would want to be recollected of me in future to come as to my ambition professionally, the day had paced quickly somehow into its twilight.
“Go, get me some water!” Exclaimed, my mum from the back of the hut fetched me back with the touch of lightning into reality!
I understood I had to understand to stand immediately, so I stood immediately lest she would cut through our thatched hut with her dried cane in her left hand to remind me what she echoed in the first place. It is my routine twice weekly though, to go down the stream to get some water for the use of the house whenever or provided my younger brother had left with dad to the farm.
When I got to her, I communicated with her in our local tongue saying “o om it ogb...” Meaning, I understand what she had asked me to do. And she nodded joyfully I am responsible with some costly smile rolling out of her flatly charming lips...
I picked up my clay pot to my left side and headed for the stream. The stream was a ten kilometre journey from my house; oh! How I wished the journey could last for eternity. As the point is, I think vast on purpose whenever I am taking a timeout working like such.
....
Children, they say are blessings from Allah, thus, they must obey every wish of their parents in order for these blessings to rain upon their family. I was born into this so called PHILOSOPHY of life. Every now and then, my parents ensure I memorise this belief thereby making it my favourite quote. I recite it every morning just as I do the Arabic. I went to primary school just like every girl in my age grade and excel greatly in my studies. Being a brilliant chap got me favoured by both my headmaster and my teachers. My parents always rejoice whenever I bring my report sheet home and it’s always a celebration galore in my home since I always come first in every class I’m in. However, I am inconclusive and indecisive about few things I was beginning to see around us then as I began to grow in time.
I noticed every time I bring my report sheet, men and women in our very pastoric milieu always come in numbers to felicitate with my father especially. I never read any meaning to this, just celebration, I thought. So it happened one day when I met Balikis, one of my childhood friends at the stream weeping profusely. I moved to pacify her and inquire what the problem was.
“My... my... my...,” persistently breaking in tone pathetically... “...parents want me to be married off to one Alhaji...!” It sounded funny so I laughed –“ah ah ah...” – boisterously because I thought marriage is just for the adults since Balikis is just a teenager who just reached her puberty stage.
Balikis further explained that her parents said that she needs to be married so as to fulfil the norm and order of the community and to serve as a blessing to them. This opens my eyes and made me read meaning to the so called philosophy. Balikis then left me to whatever fate awaits her and also to reminisce on my future too.
I am just another twelve-year old beautiful Fulani girl with noticeable features such as a fair skin, pencilled nose, oval face and since I just reached puberty age, my breast had just started popping out. I aspired to be a doctor and I clearly remembered while growing up whenever I say this, my parents are ‘always laughing’ which made me believe they are ‘happy’ and would support my dream. I negated all thoughts welling within me and declared my parents won’t act like Balikis’s parents. Even with that, I felt insecure since my father had only given birth to just three kids, I myself and my two brothers. My dad is a farmer while my mum sells product from my dad’s farm. We might not be rich at least we can afford three square meals per day which was a great privilege unlike Balikis’s family whose dad was a polygamist. He married three wives and had eight children in all. Balikis’s mother was the second wife and she had two children. This made me think I had better chances of not being married off since my own family was a monogamy family and there’s no struggle for anything.
Days passed, I finished my Primary School and got a scholarship to study in a private Secondary School at a better locality compared, just few more kilometres away from my former primary school. I was so happy when I received news of my Scholarship from my Headmaster and danced all the way home. When I got home, I met my father in company of his long-time friend Alhaji Sambo, discussing. I greeted them and relayed the good news to them. He was very happy and his friend gave me some cash. My Father then asked me to get inside and dress up because he had something to tell me. I went inside still happy ignorant of the news yet to be told. After changing into a nice dress, I approached my dad.
“My beautiful queen, do you know who that person is?” Asked smilingly, my dad.
I was amused to respond since I had known Alhaji Sambo being my Dad’s friend since I was a kid –“Yes yes of cause, he is your good friend.” Alhaji laughed boisterously and kept quiet almost at the same time and began to smile in his own rather awful gaze. “He always brings gift for us.” I continued.
“No, not anymore my dear daughter, he is your husband and he has been paying your dowry since you were little... understood?!”
My world stood still and I gave in to tears. My mother then explained further comely that I had been betrothed since I was a baby and Alhaji had been taking care of me which explains his frequent gifts and visits. She said according to the tradition, a girl gets married at the first instance of puberty. She said it was a thing of honour and had been going on for years. I was embittered by her words since I’ve always shared my dream of becoming a doctor to her and I know the self-acclaimed husband already had four wives. My father then said just as I have learnt that I am a blessing and it is time for me to seal the blessing. I stood there dumbfounded which explains my current predicament.
Nobody told me on our first night as a married couple, I would be raped and beaten by my husband in a bid for me to obey and fear him. Nobody told me that I would be scorned by my husband’s other wives. Nobody told me I would suffer stillbirths when I get pregnant due to the inability of my body to be fully grown before experiencing this fate. Nobody told me I would suffer VVF (Vagina Vertigo Fistula) which would enable me to smell and be treated as a leper. Nobody told me I would be abandoned till I die.
I got to the stream drenched with tears hoping everything happening to me was just a dream.
“Aishat...!” Called out, a voice.
“Oh, that is my name!”
I snapped back to reality. I turned towards the direction where I heard my name and saw my younger brother running towards me excitedly ignorant of what’s happening since he’s a guy and the pressure is not on them. Oh! I was already beginning to pray and wish he was coming to tell me that the marriage had been cancelled. Each step he took towards me made my heart skipped in bit.

“Your husband’s family is around to settle your dowry completely o.” Said he, joyfully.

What a stupid boy he was, I hated him for that but was it his fault? My fate was sealed, whatever! But why?!

Love from Antarctic by Jodekss (CHAPTER THREE)

HER HISTORY
That dawn had begun to open for daylight to come with all its lighting glories to channel the course of bliss on the paths of lives that be, city birds had chirped around with each of their serrated wing singing flapping in sounds and shattering the atmosphere into somewhat, picturesque bearing ultimate construct. The city streets had started to bear reddened look as busy legs thronged the faces of the tiled street looking busy as well, as they were approaching their destinations. She felt a bit paranoid and felt it clear in a-head having a real discursive engagement with Barbara as one of the agencies assets at the moment might help. She felt to shed light to the plausible misbelieves she was nurturing towards her right-hand staffer, the Assistant. Wilder was then around, she went oddly as she stabbed other necessaries like kill tasks and asked Barbara to accompany her to the nearest tea shop. She needed a privy atmosphere. I would want to tell you what you might not have heard from no one before about my Assistant. ‘Alright, why not call her by her real name now? Barbara inquired. Wilder pretended she didn't get that. They sat and they were attended to. She began to talk about her --engines passing by had already begun their noises-- the honking especially were intense so they prick ears. These activities nudged her up in bed. She dizzily opened her blue eyes turning glimmering red in reaction she had aversion for sound pollution, she muttered sickly ‘O God! For goodness sake uh!' She said and after an absurd pause, she yawned… she looked 4 foot and 11 in her bed. Someone knocked the door from outside. He knocked lightly at first, but because she was not responding when it was obvious she was in, he continued and knocked repeatedly, hard now. Albeit, he reduced the tempo before long. Her attention was later drawn; she stood as she parked her white hair cut into a bob. She turned to the right and then the left, reluctantly. She packed to the top right of her bed with her two pillow cases, the bed cover and the thick fluffy blanket. She held with her right hand feebly the header cap of her steel bed and helped her legs stand firmly by it. She sighed, her face began to be waspy --she was looking dazed and unstable. She wobbled towards the door to see who it was,
‘…and what do you want you there?' She asked dizzily.
She was close to the door at that very moment but was giving the gestured making signs with her right hand to her forehead, she would love knowing who it was. She guessed roughly who it could be. No forms of reply were given from the other side still. She moved a bit closer further to the tiny hole at the mid of the door to peep through. She loved it observative always.
‘What the heck! So it is… you? Why wouldn't you talk when I asked who it was?' She asked lousily. She closed the door immediately, against him and began to walk, firmly now, back to her bed. She changed her direction, with the intention to get close enough to the sill to see for herself what the Saturday morning looked like on the bigly busy street. Her head was fixing up then. She knew it was going to look busy as usual of cause but was just trying to engage herself in something to clear her head after very awry night rest again. In the same charge, suddenly, she got a nudge it would be the landlord who knocked, a man of few words, she rushed back to the door like the way sea billows pull back in motion. She opened the door and stepped outside. ‘Sorry, for being rude the other time, I honestly didn't... Really, I cannot say I remember what I said. I am just apologizing in case I spoke disrespectfully' she expressed, innocently.
‘Good!' he responded, calmly.
***
He was a man of few words. Gossips on the streets had it that he fought in the two great wars – the great World Wars (nobody knew how true and factual that was though the deep scars on his rough face sure had some story untold) but ever since then, after his arrival, he had seemingly chosen to be a man of few words in his dealings with the peoples in the community. But when he talked, he could do it just as an ordinary civilian would, some other people had seen him talk directly, even with his few words and the ground creaked opened with quakes and all that. Wilder had concluded right in her mind he was one man who was simply highly unpredictably. She looked deeply into his two weak eye balls. All she could read to them were lots of experiences about everything buried deep right in them which had most plausibly affected the way he'd respond and the ways he'd socialize.
He looked at her with no strong thoughts flooding up his mind. He though saw an arduous young material striving real hard to ace through in life in spite of the facts there lied many oddities on her path. This drew in some amounts of considerations and reconsiderations into his heart. In looks, he could be as clear as he could be as confusing. He had trained himself so well that no one would know or get when he was happy or sad for real. He never looked sad nor happy. He maintained, always, a rigid stance between two notions. The thought that he could do that with his face seemed scary.
He had come down to her to remind her apartment rent. But had just chosen to postpone that until next time he would be choosing to pass by or whenever he felt to pass by.
‘I have come, to check on you to see if you are good. You'd remember our agreements. But no worries just yet, I will get back to you soon,' he said whimsically, Barbara shut the door back as he turned back as the sound of his feet began to expire.
‘O…! Thanks. I have you right at the back of my… mind as well. I'll get to you before you know it,' she shouted with the intention he gets all her message. ‘Oops! Damn, that was close,' she exclaimed. She closed the door and walked back to sit in the lone seat in her room. And she began to think it through that they both know why he had come. But in exactness, the reason he had chosen not to utter a word about the money confused her so much. She was broke at the moment and thus could not afford the payment of the house rent yet. He was the landlord in charge of her place and had conversed with her over the phone two weeks prior he would be coming around just because her payment was past due time. At a time, a very light time, she had a quick flash of her mother's figure. That reminded her how she was so caring before she recollected her father –she had missed him very much but would not want to show that as one part of her felt like he did not merit any good feelings from her as he would not turn back to check on her. Her death had become her drive to be a scientist and to find a way around despite shades of challenges. Before the demise of her mother, her father was doing fine but after she popped the cog, he lost it alongside. He couldn't get himself together ever since then until the moment. She came back from the flashes to the reality abound.
She soliloquized that, ‘Oh God! What am I gonna do now… what if he returns in an hour's time? Then, I am doomed and done with. What alternative is left now huh, none...?" She expressed, rhetorically.
'I don't… I don't know when… He said ‘soon, ' and that could be just any moment, maybe tomorrow or next week. If he is going to show up next week, there is no way in this world I would have been able to get around such resource,' she expressed confusedly.
A lot came together to shape who we are and how people read meanings to us defining us in any community. She had always been that good and gentle girl in her own way who was astounding in brilliance and highly intellectual even right from childhood. But times are different now; it almost seemed all those valuable qualities were only rendering her ignobly as time just advanced, to her. Her mother'd gone, and her father'd lost it alive blaming himself for what happened to her mother –her dearly better-half. He had no time for her but spent much of his time and the little resources he has got on beers and sluts whenever he had good cash. They would let him have his way, and still steal the few dollars left in his pocket and pushed him to one side. Rain and darkly hands of the night would beat him until would collapse to one wall, and that would be his resting bed space until sanity would return, to run back to continue as he was a taxi driver for the circle to repeat itself.
All these had come together and were reshaping her in the same community, into one strict, determined and young lass with the hope of better tomorrow for herself, better than her old folks’.
***
Then as she was already twisting forwards her right leg making a 90˚ circling to begin on her path along the next to the one where she stayed was, just to instinctively look back, she who she saw was his father, who had been following her for hours. He did not know how to approach her and ask for forgiveness and to continue together as a family just once again in years of being in talking terms. ‘I knew it, what are you doing father –I am not sure even if you are one anymore to me! Are you stalking me? He moved closer to her and drew her to where she would not be able to make a scene. She wanted to scream but would at the same time not want to fetch the father who already looked tattered much more trouble to deal with. She was though sure he could not be in his right senses. It was surface enough even for anyone to know that he had beyond normalcy as looked like one who had been looking was out to get around redemption for ages.
‘Fuck you very much for that. Why would handle me like that? She said looking right into his face sadly and vexatiously. ‘I am still your father, whether you like it or not…' he said. That sank well reverberating in her brains. There was a prolonged pause as they were looking at each other right in the face. She began to blubber; they hugged as he muttered to her left ear ‘sorry.' ‘You have grown just to look exactly like her you know!?' She grinned in response to that. ‘So, why have you come, this hour…ffff…ff father?' ‘Yes, I have been keeping tabs on you; I have all the late to the most recent developments about you. I have helped you and settled your payment for house rent. I paid him last week's weekend, and that was why he would not pester you nor talk about it when he came visiting the other day. I never left you for once my darling angel, no matter what, I am around just as it used to be.' She began to sob again as that was shocking and least expected, she felt sorry for all the negatives resolves she had had for him right in her psych and mind. ‘I have something to give and tell you. Take this card; you would have the scholarship, I pray so and hope so when you are done with your academics, I am not sure if I would be able to make it till then. That is the reason why I am doing this now, as it is just this moment I have left. Alright, take this card, keep it with your life; give it to the addressee addressed on it alongside with this, he would understand make sure he employs you. She owes me her life. Do this dear daughter and be committed to your studies as you used to be way back when… Mm… I have got to go now. Your dad is still a cab driver as you'd known. He smiled and faded within the crowd before she could know it. It was like some sort day dreaming as she was dumbfounded. She continued on her way down to where she studied to continue to study as she would be tested before long.
Then, as she was going, she tried and imagined the other version of what had just happened twixt her father, Lenny and she herself:
‘Who's it, what's it uh…? And I responded as I turned backwards angrily. And he said he is Lenny. On seeing his face for real and disappointment roused up and befogged my mind and I begin to yell at him and continues by adding don't ever, call me or my name again. Let us say I said that boldly and determinedly as I look close at his arid nose like I meant it.
And he said, please, do not create a scene, my dear daughter… responding in a pathetic way. And I said I am not your daughter, please… And I squinted away and looked at the street and stops a cab closed by to take me away from the scene. And he muttered please, don't leave me, let us have a… and his voice began to fade as I closed and locked the door and instructed the driver to light it and leave on time.'
‘Oh, if it were so, it would have been so cruel of me. I am happy really I couldn't do that… I really missed him.' she soliloquized.
After a few years, she had already finished well as the best students among her colleagues at the college and the same thing after she proceeded to the varsity for higher degrees under the same discipline. Her meritorious excellence all through after weeks of finishing fetched her a job of good pay with Paranormal Dating Agency which happened to be one of the bests in the States and which happened to be the place her father directed her to go to; there she was recognized as one off their best scientists which is committedly helping them up. ‘She merited the job on two grounds, the first she merited it as she was excellent and she merited on the basis of favoritism as I, the General Manage, owed her father one. It was on several bases that made me to make fill should always act in my stead. And, evidently, it is what we all know, she is doing great. You would only complain she is not being that informal as you could be at times.’ They both smiled.
Her father and I got to know each other way back when she was just nobody striving for a jackpot in life and then built something related to what he loved doing the most. She was a scientist of high rank, she finished the best from Harvard in discipline. She was believed to have some medical panacea which was bio related and was kidnapped in the dead of one night. None was there, except for her father, he caught them did that and followed them, risked his life and gave me lib.

Love from Antarctic by Jodekss CHAPTER TWO

SENSUAL MODE AND THE ADVENTURE TO BE
After a few years; he was already done with her academics –she had finished at the college already and had furthered at one of the best ivory-towers in the States on the basis of scholarships as she was brainy. School life and friends had been able to finally influence her and had successfully changed her sensual attitude towards sex and the likes related. She was still full of anxiety though and on several occasions this popped up at school. All these new adds of hers stretched with her back into her immediate community. She had been employed on merit by one of the best Paranormal Dating Agency around which was making incredible wave. At work, she was the best among the rest employees, in handling drugs, chemicals and plants for the paranormal creatures in the care of the agency she works for. She had been doing really great to the extent that her influences later got her real occupational respect and that eventually qualified her to be part of the Executive Council.

‘I have got some old friend Shirley. We once had it and it was real to be blunt but things got bad as I lost my mother. What do you think huh…?' She paused a moment recollecting the stances the agency was trying to make their paranormal clients enjoy their stay by improving in so. She bit the sides of lips figuring out the plausible ways she would fit into the puzzle on that. The thought faded almost immediately having been replaced with another--
‘Yo you would do me a favor. Try and pack those prenatal care procedural documents for the old clients on my desk. Will go over the new once afterwards… Thanks… kiss kiss. Owe you one.’ She typed it and sent it to her. It ticked it was sent but it had not been read as her colleague was not online at the moment on the other side.

It was a Sunday morning when the Fathers send the church bell clanking in reverberation hitting the street on all sides. She knew nothing about what they do in there. Her dad would always say to her when she was with them: "all they do is sing incidental songs which they had termed holy hymn; do mass thing and make signs of cross several times before the congregation later let go the ways they have come. He was such a rude bigot as to creed topics. She was still scattered all over in her bed with thoughts about him pressing her real deep in the head. She rose and took her pill on the stool and sent it down with a sip of water in glass water. She had had a fine apartment at the moment. Her apartment –had twosome front doors closed into one; the other beds were to the right; a small alcove to the left, not shown are the small kitchen and bathroom. Her cell phone rang, she drew it out and clicked on the green part to answer. It was him again.
‘Hi!' from the other side. She replied ‘Hi!' ‘Am I forgiven and permitted to come around now? I am buying along your favorites' he said from the other side… there was a brief pause. She blushed and her pretty rotund dimples pointed out shining as the light up the ceiling reflected on them.
‘Alright but do not be long.' She responded.
He was glad to have been able to win her attention back. Years of waiting and persistent trials were not for waste –he thought in his mind.
‘Knocks on the door.' ‘Who's it… Come in.' ‘It is me, Ben… You asked me to come in but the door still locked at your end there' he said and smirked kn disgust. He believed she had done that on purpose. He muttered in his mind –
‘She must be a worst bitch now for treating me this way this far!' She dashed towards the door and opened it to see him in.
‘Thank very much. He initiated hugging. They hugged, she collected what's in his hands and broke the hug giving him some wry smile --she didn't mean to hug.

"On getting the message he chuckled and developed the chuckling into smile ending it with short laughter as he was heading towards the sitting room to make himself comfortable. He had got flowers – rose, orchid and tulip to present her with them.
‘You have come to kill me right? You have got around the irresistible one you should know that but I'd have my ways around it though' she said as she looked right at him in the seat with one side of her face putting her utmost aura into lead as she walked about.
She cooked, they ate, exchanged gist about the current days sophistications and all that tagged alongside, they talked about their beginning part when they were in their childhood and the crazy things they did together way back then. They later spoke about the romantic part which was the closest to the time she eventually lose her mother and they ended their talk as they have been drinking for hours on her mother. Ben, felt he was left with no choice again but to apologize.
‘I have gone past that… during my days at the college. She's gone and there is nothing, no one would have done, nothing… nothing you or I could do now to bring her back. Once you go there, you are not coming back. I am so sorry for putting the whole blame on you… for…for… long.
'She said with her eyes shutting uncontrollably and opening
... She still liked him, it appeared so. There was a part of him that still wanted to be with him but there was a grave in her consciousness reassuring he could never be the alpha man she need to spend the rest of her life with. How her subconscious self– came around such a resolve deep down her mind she could not know. They appeared intoxicated, Ben was all fine but faking not... as he felt not to leave her just there intoxicated on the cushion. He was seated right close to her, with series of thoughts flocking up his head, going out and coming back in. He would not want to spoil the art of redemption he was beginning to enjoy. Right in the processes of these thoughts, she said ‘let's go inside, it is late.'
Well, Ben gave the facial expression that was no new news and it-is-good-you-too-know-that sort of expression. She was actually still under intoxication. He began to reason what he should do next having seen her state that way. He made up his mind to do exactly what she had said. As she carried her up to help her into her bedroom to put in a good position for a good night nap, on having her back against the bed cover, as he wanted to leave her, she thrust out her two hands around his neck and romantically forced him to smell the beauteous smell of her irresistible breasts. He smelt real deep and felt for it all. His sense of politeness ran dry within a matter of ‘Jack Robinson'. Then the aesthetic application began, he began to examine each part corners of her body… He paced back for a minute and went back to her in the bead standing, looking unbelievably at her. He had not dreamt it all this would be happening again just this fast. It would be her second time with her. The first time was still quite long past as they both really did enjoy every move which had to do with it. He sighed and began to caress her from her feet. She was beginning to react to that real hot. He stopped, he retracted his hand as if he got shocked right on her golden spotless skin. He paced back. Began to walk fast in unparalleled manner - up and down right in the room holding his head like one confused and not knowing what to do at the same time.
‘Ben.… Ben… please… give it to me…' she said, fingering herself.
He paused on hearing that, before the blink of an eye he was already on his boxer. He climbed the bed and continued to caress her right from the same feet with his rather cold soft palm. His touches had her moved as it spread right through every part of her physiological parts and her neurological senses were already on cloud nine screaming out loud what her meaning that was what she crave for from Ben.., Ben continued to give the impression he was just beginning. Ben was used to being bibitory so… the long alcoholic had no effect on him. He posed in charge while she too looked in charge but right on another on her way to cloud nine. It was though already seeming she was close but all that was just literal to him. He could bear it no more. He was already roused and wet.
Silence heralded the room as she would not let out her fingers yet from herself. Deep down her she was finding cure to her loneliness. The alcohol she took was only triggering her innermost desires. He knew and was indifferent on purpose. Thus, he began to mutter silently at least in complementary to add to the aesthesia of the time being. He muttered sweet words into her ears which propelled living grins out the sides of her mouth in the bed. He felt to tease her through all her erogenous zones to begin with to appreciate her angelic contours. He gently removed her short, shirt… He planned on finishing with her pants, so he moved to the top to her tits and began to, in a sexy way, remove the brassier. She looked half asleep and half conscious and was in the same vein responding well enough to every step of the selfsame activity. He proceeded with her golden pants with purple butterfly drawn and sewn to the base part of it –the middle of the front –just where the clit would probably lie literally. Then she was bare, he got himself bare as well, and his tool was already releasing drops and was breathing heavily -- he could no more wait but to do some shagging with it. He stood, anon, dried his tool bit admiring her as he was doing that thinking loud if she would like it at all if she got conscious just at the moment of penetration. He soliloquized, "this would then be the worst moment of my years" . She was still there… Already trying to shag herself with her own arrow-finger and she was enjoying it real good –at least, it appeared so to him from where he was standing –sexual ire clouded him. He proceeded to her in the bed, held her hand with the finger so fast, so fast that even Barbara opened her eyes and looked right into another phase entirely. Ben was shock thinking she would leave her pretence and shout for help but she closed her eyes back relaxedly. Ben stopped as he felt to let her be. But... as she waa still not herself and as her eyes were yet shut, Barbara deepened plucking finger into her mouth in a sexy way and said,
‘Oh, you afraid uh, give it to me I have missed the fun.' That sounded a green light to him, he smiled, pulled her back well on the bed cover in the bed and split her legs into apart proper and began to lick her beginning from her feet, then... slowly to her rims. She moved to that. She did the same to the next leg, and she moved even the more to that in an exciting way. He couldn't hold it back no more… Then he began to suck her real deep. She began to move and moan loudly at the same time in response. It was unbelievable to him. It had been long he had had her moan like so. He felt proud of himself. He went and onto her clit and used the tip of his tongue to play toying with it for some time. She moaned even louder, enjoying it all. Ben's hand was already so wet. He used it to cream his breasts down back right into her. She began holding and folding the woolly bed cover with her hands; the hands were suspended apart –surrendering herself in totality to Ben. Ben… felt he had done well enough and it was time he'd the real thing. He stooped in the bed, used his hand to feel the strength of his tool in readiness for what was to pour and then inserted it swiftly into her; it entered easily as she had naturally lubricated herself. He had it on top so steamy. He'd change positions at his discretion to soothe hers...
‘Damn!' he expressed and smiled joyfully. They had it all night long fun-filled.
Ben couldn't though believe it yet fully. That such would ever happen twixt them again. After few hours, actually, she spoke --
‘Ben!' She called. She backed him.

‘I hope you enjoyed it all too!' She said romantically.
She continued --‘Good, really, I di... d either but, what happened shouldn't have happened you'd know that... and it would never happen again; you'd know that either. Please, you will not have to call me again nor try to wanna pay me another visit. I am changing my line and might have to relocate to effect my words. We are done as in… done!'
She changed her sleeping position and faced him. She could read meanings to what he saw on his face -- it was no good but she would not care.
‘Now I have got to leave for office' she said with much emphasis in her tone.'
She stood, put on her night gown, looked for her bathroom slippers which were scattered about in the room. One leg, right beneath the fluffy rug under the bed and the other took minutes to locate. He stood up, got dressed and left even before she was done brushing her teeth in the bathroom before she took the kind of warm bath she had way back then. Immediately she was done. Her phone rang, it was Shirley. That day would be the first she would be late to office. She would always be the first to show up prior and at most times be the last to leave – had an aversion for leave.

'Hi..., Shirley!' 'Hi, really? There really is first time for everything indeed. Why have you not been around set huh?'
She asked hurriedly. 'I am on my way and close already...' she replied hurriedly.
She raced down. She hated to be queried or being questioned on matters caused by her own personality. On getting to office, she got to know some sudden development at work.
"The General Manager of the establishment collapsed at work and had been hauled down to the hospital for check-ups and the like." Shirley said.
Shirley made development known and his deputy would be chairing all the affairs for the time being.

'So… it happened just as I have said' said relievedly, Barbara.
She had just told her what went on last night.
'Wow... you had a real great time together... but you damn bad you know? No one would know from the outside. Why that part, uh?' She said inquisitively.
'Which part in exactness?' she said as she was rearranging the files on her desk.
'Why did you necessitate that you must not see again?' She responded.
'O...! That one, it is simple, what we had all we had, the good and the other side, were all real, but he ain't my type. I forgiven him but I could feel right inside me he ain't the one.' ‘Mm... It is still the same 'my type' thing yet! It's alright, it's whatever you say, you are no kid.' she said.
***
At the EC meeting... it was made known that the Paranormal Dating Agency would be sponsoring an excursion which would happen in somewhere…
’The intent was mainly to garner much more knowledge to make entice clients and build good reputation for the Dating Paranormal Agency. Gerri Wilder who was the founder and the Manager of the agency said in the meeting ‘attending to their needs from us normals with our expertise is of utmost importance. The pairing we would always do for them we would continue and never to forget the economic realities around we are not the one, there are always competitors next door.’ She looked at Barbara. She decided to pretend she was unconcerned she mixed the last one. She continued ‘…you would have to find out yourself from her. Her Assistant, would go with you for the first week to assist you in doing some necessary introductions and the likes.'
'You would have to go down to her office for the full briefing as per the excursion. She just went out to ascertain where the excursion was gonna be huh...!' Shirley remarked.
She praised her efforts for her fill-ins when she was not around yet. At noon on the same day, Wilder’s Assistant, who she’d put in charge of the paper works and other things having to do with the dissemination of information, had already come back around, right in her office, was busy looking at the globe -- map on the monitor on her desktop on her table. Their offices were given the best of the best designs as each one was built with some sort of translucent glasses. Barbara took the other side which had the back of Wilder and the monitor as well. The office of the Assistant was situated right at the behind of the Wilder’s at the center whilst everyone else's was arranged around them masterly. Wilder was away to assist in another patient and help him with a suitable pair. She was perfect at that. As she approached her she could spot her from further even before entering some sort of whale-like whitish picturesque thing -- you'd know how the South Pole look-- her first time there was highly incredible and adventurous... she understood and interpreted the image as what the earth looks like from afar when the satellite takes its shot.
'Beautiful' Barbara said.
Wilder was arduously admiring it with the facial expression how to survive fine the nipping and nonstop blowing of cold atmospheric conditions of the destination. She knocked, she admired her with earnest gazes as she wouldn't know what was really in stock for her. She noticed how she looked like as she was seated there in the executive chair-- her hair was being tired back, in her lab coat as she was just done at one of the labs. She had the thought the colleague who got sick might have exposed himself to some sort of Biochemical product or something worse and wouldn't want to complicate issues by taking some adherence with levity. She was always fraught with strict dress code for occasions for precedence as she always adhere to the superstructure, mother agency, for all paranormal agencies in the States. This, made it always comfortable for to explain comfortably how things as per dressing ought to be like. She would say that 'hair that looks great or not down could simply become scorched by Bunsen burners or spoilt by machines. Braids could be good and chic alternative also libs buns and shake off up-does. If long hair would not do for your which should, short -styled bobs which has contemporary could come in.
The lab is no jocular avenue or bathtub where are sandals would be done away with. Why would you in normalcy not use the lab without it uh, it would be insane! In their, chemical spills could be contractive and could lead harm toes when precautions are not taken. Loafers could hold up some unbelievable features untold cute, use or get your hands on tall riding boots; they give style to any workbench. Short hemlines have their temporal effects, and lab guidelines strictly regulate wears. Bare skin is dangerous for contact with hazards. Reduce and never again try to maximize the amount of skin as per hemlines. Get your hands on leggings which may assist with short hemlines. You'd try uh…. dressing to your comfort and safety. Once the mother agency's requirements are met then consider what is comfortable for you. Most scientists work long hours most especially you, Barbara, thus wearing comfortable clothes is necessary huh! However, comfort no liberty is ought to be regarded as leverage for slattern ethics or untidiness. You, individually as you are trying with necessary efforts on style allows you to be prominent among multitude as a Pharmacist, Scientist with high standards. You would notice, there was no reflection on how should go about their own thing, trust me, I am well-handling that tomorrow.
Though not necessarily fair, there still exists the sentiment or stigma that female sex who overdress in formal offices are not committed or are incapable of producing convincing outcomes. By dressing tastefully, yet with much more emphasis on appropriateness.’ She paused… ‘…for effect. Note that you as well as I myself can avoid unfortunate prejudgments. Many clothing things brands offer feminine yet work appropriate clothing which allows individuals to express their sense of self will look professional and chic.'
And she would always end it all in a note; she continued as she reminded them that ‘individual's style is an expression of self. However, when dressing for the lab room, a self-check must be performed to make sure you are not broadcasting an unintended message. Be comfortable and be yourself while still looking professional.' Shirley would call her usual long talks about what to sickly boring... She would at times express in her mind "Is it not what to wear huh, oh, come on cut the crap!"
Barbara entered was asked to sit. She sat
'I learned you were late today and couldn't attend the meeting' The Assistant declared.
'I woke up bad and late today as I slept late yestreen' she responded. 'Well, I am not satisfied with the excuse, sorry, we would get to talk about that later in the day' she said frantically.
'But there are things we need looking into together. Some decisions and appointment were made at the meeting; it was suggested by Wilder and was agree on by all the members of the EC to have to you appointed to go to the Arctic Circle as the company had learned there lie lots of medicinal plants in the tundra which would do this agency a lot of good. I have given out the list and brief description of the common plants you will find in the tundra that are perennials.
Bearberry, bearberry isn't really all about bears, although they have been seen to eat them. Labrador Tea, Diamond Leaf, Arctic Moss, Arctic Willow, Caribou Moss, Tufted Saxifrage, Pasque Flower.
It is gonna be a form of excursion, but we have planned to make the journey much more beneficial to the agency as we are profit oriented as well as caring for our clients. It is not like we are setting your chest, bare, in the cold there... Wilder, the founder said to let you know she would never do that nor to any member of this Paranormal Dating Agency.
May I ask, 'have you been there before?' He expressed inquisitively. She replied, excitedly 'No, but it has for a long time been my dream too, one day. My great… great… great… grandfathers had some family tree kinda thing there before they migrated here centuries back' she responded.
'Wow, well, I am impressed. What a coincidence. Should I even call it that? Just got the tingling to ask. I remember you filled something related to there when you first came around. I was all over your profile.’ She smiled very lightly.
‘Let me brief you on the basics with the ARTIC as you are still a bit past 25 years old - you'd know, no need acting you are beyond your age here as the excursion is sensitive, again, listen up for the basics -- The Arctic region is a unique area among Earth's ecosystems. For example, the cultures in the region and the Arctic indigenous peoples have adapted to its cold and extreme conditions. In recent years, Arctic sea ice decline has been caused by global warming. Life in the Arctic includes organisms living in the ice, zooplankton, and phytoplankton, fish and marine mammals, birds, land animals, plants and human societies. Arctic land is bordered by the subarctic. It's got bunches of adventures too you'd get... which we would all get to see. 'The Assistant said.
‘So we all are gonna go?' she inquired curiously.
She shook her head in response and paused. ‘Barbara… Are you alright?' She inquired curiously. ‘I am good. Why… What is wrong? I am all fine! She said with her eyebrows raised excitedly.
‘No you are not girl. You are hiding something. Your feelings, what is happening to you is quite necessary for us to know. I am suggesting you take a week off if you wouldn't mind, would you? She drew her glasses down a bit, and her head jabbed downwards a bit in order to look at her face, and she was sore ready to see her respond she would love to take it. She knew right at the back of her mind, right from the first day of her being an employee, she had been awesomely active but that day was unlikely. She responded
‘I wouldn't, thank you, Wilder. I am grateful, for making me somehow to be part of the excursion to the Arctic.
‘You are welcome Barbara,' she responded.

To be continued...

Love from Antarctic (Continuation of Chapter 1)

After weeks they had been in contact over the phone, he felt it was necessary to check on her on how she was fairing and to also get to know how far she'd gone doing all other necessaries on her own part for sure success to be realized in the upcoming exam. It was on a Tuesday, and the summer sun had been out shining all it's got scorching the heck out of the earth and the earthmen herein. It began to walk the ways it would always do right from the west and making a swaggering down through the foamless skies to rest, and it was at the center of getting there already. Andrew was on his way down to purchase his usual thing, not much further apart from his apartment. Liked ice cream and other things which are sweet to his tongue. These things had piled together to give him the fatty self he had had. He used to eat a lot when he was little. He was voracious and wouldn't be satisfied until he was unconscious and all that. He was born well like just the other babies. Smart and beautiful to appreciate. But as usual, he got over his past much more easily, awkwardly. He was so good at relating factors unrelated in proffering solutions to any problem he was faced with. The distance from the bottom of the feet to the top of the head of Andrew was 5'7.6 or 172 cm. That was not his height and weight actually. The last time he went checking that almost corrupted his right senses. He had got a role model he would prefer to imagine to shatter any jot of regret for his physique. He admired Jackie –his best actor ever as his role model as he'd always cheer him up even when occasion did not call for that in his comics. On that sunny afternoon, it was of cause a tea shop that time but to get for himself a rather expensive ice-cream –Golden Opulence Sundae: $1,000. ‘Ahem…! Please, I am gonna be seated right over there, I wanna see the paper just behind you huh! He said and left immediately. He came back before 30 seconds, hurriedly. ‘Ehm… Make them all count please – the three scoops of rich Tahitian vanilla bean infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23k edible gold leaf. He left back a newspaper; he looked serious as he saw the emboldened word –SCHOLARSHIP. He quickly drew it closer to himself to make sense of the full location on the paper. He read "STUDENTS GET SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY AT COLLEGE OF PHARMACY" ‘What… she must have been E-mailed, and I must have been, either… Wait…wait…' He quickly flipped through the papers to read the details. He was too anxious to begin from the top and get the details. He skimmed it all from top to the bellow part of it but could not see the names of those that later merited the scholarship on any part of the page. He skimmed the top, the below, the side, the mid and the middle but nothing like lists of names were there. He dropped the paper and went back to collect his ice cream. He collected it and paid and moved back to the papers. He went to the vendor and complained as per the names which are not there as if they were hidden by the man; the man let him check other papers in case of any similitude in tit-bit as per it. He did flip them all through but to naught. Bought the one which he first saw and headed home –it was a few blocks distance apart. At home, he was down with overly with anxiety. Then, he sat his robust seat, which pies looking so good and compelling on the table and one resting to be taken within Jack Robinson on his belly. He picked up the paper on the stool and began to read to grasp the inbuilt messages inscribed. It was then he was able to realize all candidates were expected to check their E-mails submitted during the signing ups. He immediately put the Wi-Fi into use but saw nothing there related. ‘Now, no congratulatory messages here; does that mean that is the end. O, Barbara, she must have learned about it; no, she could not have – she would have put a call through to me informing me; okay, what I am going to do would be to try and call her. No-no-no-no-no no… let me go and visit her in person. Which should come first?'
***
He gave her a call almost immediately, but she wouldn't answer the call. It was not on purpose as she was busy having a rather boring exchange with a neighbor who had come to invite her over to come and have dinner with his family for the first time since they had packed in. She stood right at the center of the door when it was opened with the chain still attached to it stretched a bit around from the flat wooden rampart of the door. Her head was out, and it was to the neighbor as if she was half naked and no choice than to be just like that. ‘It would gladden me if you would later show up. Just a knock on the door we would respond' said in a friendly way, the neighbor. She responded ‘I would really love to come and dine with your family. It had been long I experienced that and uh…that was before my mo… no worries…. Thanks for the invitation. And no offense please I have been in any way rude in my words.' He smiled and said fatherly ‘no-no-no… none taking actually Miss. You… just be good. See you around.' He turned back and crossed the street to the other side. She closed the door to herself and felt embarrassed as she had her back to the door and slipped down stealthily in regret for not liking mincing with new people around. She at once believed it was some phobia of the type she had not come across yet but recently she had got past that in thought believing it had to be must be something else entirely.
Two days back the almost exact same thing happened to her. She was around as it was the weekend of the week. One of the teens on the other side of the street saw her passing by and would be a friend and at the same time wanted her to come around to her birthday party on the following night. She replied sounding honest she had invited over to another party by another friend of hers downtown. It was all a blatant lie cooked up before she could know it. But it sounded way too confusing for her not to believe, so they departed. She walked barefooted back into the room to see that Andrew had called several time. ‘O my… oh my! I am in shit…' She called him back instantly to know what was up.
‘Hello, I was not with…' ‘Shhhhhhhhhhh….' he shushed her right from the other side. And he continued ‘where the hell did you put your phone this time, was it the kitchen again or back at the shopping mall, again…?' She gave her, once-in-a-while smile… ‘Sorry… You'd know some things will never change. Actually, it ain't deliberate. I was… with a neighbor and my phone was put on ‘silent,' again.' ‘You know what girl…You really do not belong to this age. Probably Stone Age would have made a lot of sense for you you know!' Both laughed, and there was a prolonged pause. He swallowed a lump of spittle ‘Ahem! Ya…' ‘So why did you call?' She asked. ‘Yeah, yeah, when was the last time you checked your mail? No-no-no were those even the right words! The names are out now, for the scholarship thing. I have just learned about it, and I felt like you might not know and let you know' he responded. ‘Wow, when was that… How am I to check it? Oh oh, the E-mail… What's up, were you picked? He hung up? What is it with him…?'
She quickly dressed up and left for the internet café to verify from her E-mail account. She bellowed a cab hurriedly and took down to the Café. It was positive for her, and she was joyous as her dream had begun to come into reality. She ran down home feeling extremely eerie as she would be able to study the scientific discipline of her choice. On getting home, all she had was just herself. There was no one else to share the joy with and Andrew had just behaved as if he was not picked. She was with mixed feelings whether to call him and inform about the development and ask him about his. At a point in time at the same spot, she began to imagine how her mother would have been proud of her for her rare and impressive success. ‘Mom would be proud wherever she is.' ‘Loved you mom.' As the topic of her mother came in her joy was beginning to lose weight, but she tried and be positive back as she tried to get something to cool her throat right in her concise fridge at the edge of her wooden bed, painted brown. She felt asleep afterward as she began to relax in her bed.
She opened her eyes reluctantly then. Unconsciously, she waved her right hand and packed her hair which had covered her left eye to the back part of her head. She entered into some sort of daydream with her grandpa repeating over the same tale she had had before, right under the atmosphere –the dusk began to open for daylight to come with all its lighting glories to channel the course of bliss and it greased the earth with them spattered all through the faces of the sky glowing good. Dovish birds chirped no more about with each of their serrated wings, but there was another nocturnal bird on top of the tree beneath, which she and her grandpa were seated. It flapped and shattered the atmosphere with the sibilance of her departure as it clawed away. She woke up, and she gave Andrew a call.

TROUBLE UPON TROUBLE by Sammy (Prose Fiction)

Episode 1

It was exactly 4.00pm when Tunji woke from bed. He appeared wearied and somehow famished. He went straight to the fridge in the kitchen, picked some little junks to quench the hunger. After some minutes alone in the house, he heard a knock at the door. He went straight to the door, on opening the door, it was Sarah, the lady who sleeps around to make money and known as lady stripper. He was surprised on seeing her, though, they have been friends from high school but he could not understand her surprise visit.
"Wait, what are you doing here...?" Tunji asked, repeatedly but Sarah was not responsive. Suddenly, she slumped into Tunji's hands. Tunji couldn't know what to do. So, he took her inside and made sure she was breathing.

Exactly 7.00pm, she woke up while Tunji still did not know what she was up to. Tunji sat her down and started asking questioning her but she was only able to answer one question, "I need him". On hearing this, this got Tunji furious. It's been a decade they last saw. While in high school, they were into some sort of relationship but after some years, it seemed boring to them, so they broke up. Sarah was addicted to sex and this made her having sex with each guy she met.
Tunji looked helpless, he did not know what to do. His mum will soon be back from work and he was also expecting his friends coming for partying sake. Suddenly, a car honked at the gate, he was unsure who it was...

Episode 2

The car honking was not really that loud but it was heard consecutively. He knew the sound of his Mom's car honk but her car broke down on her way to office in the morning. So, it might be one of her friends' in the office who came to drop her. He went outside to see who it was. On getting to the gate, he looked through the small hole in the gate and noticed that it was his friends. He felt relaxed and calmed. He opened the gate and allow them in. It was Femi, Dolapo, Ayo, and Temi. These guys are 'Yahoo' guys who live exorbitantly and buys luxurious things mostly on net. They were prepared for the night, Friday night, a night they wouldn't want to miss. After some greetings, Tunji explained what was happening and how scared he was. They all thought it was a joke and laughed at him. He became sober and shouted, "I am serious jọ!"
As at then, Sarah had been conscious and was really surprised seeing these guys. These are guys she had spent most of her lifetime having sex with, each of them on separate occasions. She moved closer to them to be sure of who they really were. "Femi, Temi, Dolapo, Ayo," Sarah said. Tunji was confused and was looked disposed. "Don't tell me that they have also ate out of your meal," Tunji said. Sarah couldn't talk because she knew her reputation worthless in his presence. A lady who had slept with five different guys who were friends on different occasions. The world was upside down on Sarah and she could not help the situations at hand. The friends of Tunji reacted indifferent and continued their indistinct chats beside their Toyota Camry, *Big for nothing*. Sarah was in isolation for some minutes before Tunji and Femi (Femo) walked closely to her. Femi was a decent guy while in high school but was influenced by his friends. But the trait of decency was seen in him because he was a sanguine. Femi and Tunji asked a lot of questions from her about her in currency. She was able to give some important details, her aunt's address and her club house she where she used to sleep mostly. But Tunji was still confused on how she got his home address, but there was no much time to discuss that because it was already getting late. While in Tunji's compound, his Mom voiced was heard greeting some people outside. Hitherto, he told his friends to be calm and stay cool because his Mom had warned him not to keep bad companies lest she goes ballistic or so. Mrs Amelia came into the compound and wondered who owned the car and who the people in her house were. Tunji rushed at her to greet her but the Mother was not really convenient at receiving his greetings. He knew he would see them and say "By the way, who are those?" You know how a typical Nigerian woman will do that with her hands waving like a standing fan. Tunji could not answer sharply and was stammering, as she asked just like that.
"The.....y a....re my fri.....en...ds." he stammered. His Mom was surprised on hearing the tone of her Son. It has been a strenuous day for her and she could not just help it meeting some thrash at home. She walked inside her house. The friends were disappointed by the way the Mother treated them, and they all left. Tunji was frustrated and didn't know what to do to Sarah. He couldn't leave Sarah alone outside and he was just walking around scratching his head on utter confusion.

Episode 3

Jeopardy upon Jeopardy. Tunji has a recent issue of a girl who claims to be pregnant for him. Her name is Joke. A street girl, whose life is spent partying around with her friends. Tunji's Mom has not heard about it and this has been a very big problem which he cannot tell his Mom. He told Joke to abort the *Belle*, but she insists after having four different abortions. Two for Tunji and the other two for an Agbero. Sarah was still in Tunji's compound thinking about her life and Tunji was perplexed about his present situation. After some minutes of Mrs Amelia being alone inside, she called her son, "Tunji, won't you come inside and tell me what's going on". Tunji did not know where to start from because he was even planning on telling her the girl he has impregnated. Now! Another issue has came up, his Mom meeting his Raz friends and Sarah at home. He went inside leaving Sarah alone outside. Who is that? His Mom asked. He could not talk. His Mom asked again. "Are you deaf? Who is that? Suddenly, Tunji developed a form of stammering style. "S...he w....as my.. hi....gh...sch...ool friend" he said. Anyways, won't she go home don't you know it's getting late already. Tunji did not know how to tell her what's going on. He has gone far thinking and didn't know he ought to reply to his Mom. The Mom shouted at him, "Tunji! Didn't you hear me?" Outrightly, as a guy, the vibe came and told his mom about what's happening, about his friends she met and the girl Sarah, excluding the pregnant girl, joke. The Mom didn't know what to do and was indifferent on how to handle the case. As a good and caring mother, she was sober and she called Sarah inside. The time clocks 9pm and makes a tickling sound. They all looked straight to the wall clock. The power supply was still on and after some minutes, Nepa took off the lights. As at now, the room was dark, they all moved outside the compound to discuss. While Mrs Amelia was talking to Sarah, some people were shouting outside and a woman's voice was heard loudly, "where is the guy's house that impregnated you? Can't you talk?" Tunji was shivering. It was as if the world was upside-down down on him. Gban gban gban, this was the sound from Mrs Amelia's gate...

Episode 4

Gban gban gban, *Ta lo wa ni ile yi oo* I don't think people are staying in this compound oo, Mama Shalewa said. A voice was heard from the compound, pls, who are those...? *It's ous oo, we from the 3rd strit and we've bring a case for you people that give our daughter Belle*. Her English was so bad that Mrs Amelia did not really understood what the woman was saying. Tunji, go and open the gate, Mrs Amelia said. Imagine how Tunji will be feeling now, if you were the one, what will you do? Tunji opened the gate and the old women rushed inside the beautiful house, like about 3 of them, one of which is Mama Shalewa, Mama Moria, and Mama Alata. Including the impregnated girl, Shalewa. Oya, *who give you Belle*? Mama Shalewa asked. All the women looking like a Stark illiterate. Mrs Amelia don't even know where to start from but she tried clearing the ground. "Can I know what's happening here?" she asked. " *Well, we has not cum here to disturbing your peace but to come and go and verifi what ur pikin has done to our daughters. He done give our daughter Belle*Mrs Amelia could not fathom what she heard. "Tunji, who are these people and do you know them at all?" Mrs Amelia asked. Shalewa! *Shea o le soro ni?, Who give you Belle* "I don't think it is this house oo". Shalewa replied. The women were frustrated on hearing that and they felt embarrassed. They pleaded with Mrs Amelia, Tunji and Sarah that they met inside the compound. That night wasn't really funny for Mrs Amelia. It was a day she can't dare forget. Sarah was in isolation despite all the drama that was performed in the compound. After the women left, Mrs Amelia was too tired to eat. She talked to Sarah for a while and went inside. *"Sarah, won't you follow me, let's go and sleep, we will continue our discussion tomorrow. Thank God there is public holiday tomorrow"* Mrs Amelia said. They both went inside and Tunji locked the gate and also went inside to sleep. Before he could sleep that night, he was in deep thoughts about the bearing of his life.
