It is not easy to rejoice with a neighbour instantly who gets what you have been longing for just like that. Hundreds of questions beginning with ‘why’ or ‘how’ would run through your head in a matter of few seconds before you could congratulate the fellow. At times you just turn back and leave in regret, confusion, hatred, envy as you do not understand why yours is so difficult to do already. That is nature for you. That is human for you. Feelings like such in such an occasion can be said to be automatic for everyone in your situation out of frustration.

There are some principles about life though you seem to have taken for granted which are eye opener on how things work under the sun from the beginning of time and yet. Understanding these principles would not allow you to dwell too long in these negative thoughts at any point in time –they will keep you in good position to receive your own long awaited blessings. The more you reflect on negativities like those, the more they spread and make matter worse. Don’t you dwell in them!

There is appropriate time for everyone. There is season for everything. There is the appropriate time for night to come and go and for day to come and go. The two should not come together or go together at the same time. Just as it will be very odd for everyone in the world to be born at the same time –imagine how uneven everything will look like if it is like that. If what you need so much has not reached you yet, that does not mean yours is not on the way. That does not mean your sins are the worst in the history of humanity. That may not mean you are not prayerful enough. When what you want or need reaches your neighbour first, it is not a sign that yours will not reach you later. It would definitely. The only difference is that just as it has been conditioned for day to come then night so as it, for you. The person’s blessing is to come first, then yours later in time.

Dwelling too long in poor feelings will shift your position from receiving at your own appropriate time. This is just like as we snooze alarm farther in time on our cell phones. If/when your neighbour gets what you have been crying in the open and in the closet for, walk up to such, rejoice with or congratulate such wholeheartedly. Don’t do fake congratulations please! Do it from the bottom of your heart having understood your season is close by in good faith –when the person you congratulated would have no choice but to congratulate you too out of awe.

Most times we shy away from wishing others well when they actually have a quarter of the blessings on the way to us and because we do that, the blessings become someone else’s and we are back to square one. How long must we continue to live like this –with attitudes that keep pooling backwards our blessings? Find it easy to rejoice with your neighbour; even if out of arrogance the person feels s/he has the best of blessings. If you have rejoiced truly, yours might just be better. At a backyard –there were stacks of faces facing one another in the face facing the face of the two vying fine young men exchanging words… Fisticuffs were beginning to come as their eyes were beginning to turn from red into black or so sha. The sun was seated in the sky having brought forwards more seats for the comely coming moon to exchange guard as usual. The shadows of every face have long been buried in the faces of the fading day as expected. Then there was an old lad wobbling closer, one pace then the next with his wise staff looking brokenly tired and yet knocking cracking sounds out of the earth as we know it so.

“Ah! I will kill you o… ehn ehn… na me get hanging first oooooo…” Sobbed Okafor. Na me, na me go first hang. I am the first to reach here. Am I not? Hey abi, everyone, is that not?
Come on kweep quiet! “Shouted Ola”. Oh-my-oh-my you don’t know wharisgoingon, you go no eventuarr…. Come on wharisgoingon, wait what can be going on that fit reach my own biko nu… “Interrupted rhetorically Okafor”. Both laughed boisterously with wonderment written bigly on either faces. The rope was dangling dancing to the whistling wings of winds hitting it sideways and the stool was looking at both of them expecting the first to come and go.

Look, omo ina, I know you are ready to die like am ready too buhhhhhhh, you know, e go take time to die na, it is not kiakia the rope get your neck and the stool commot you go die o, you go choke begging for air and air no go show face, at least I no that for inside movies. Why don’t you just allow make I do mine first before before before… they… their money… the money… yeh… Wo, hmmmm… hey… hmmmmm… Wo come…. See, learn from how I die so e no go dey new to you. “Said quietly into Okafor’s left ear”.
This drama makes no sense to me fellas. “Said a bored educated face whose shoes’ have bent at different sides”. The old lad remained watching both with his eyes fixed into their dead spirits. The third character he must have been, whose part of the script was to remain mute, I guess.
Don’t be bored by this piece my dear learned fellow. There is essence in nonsense even and that is the point my people –seeing sense in all things. This man you see hanging will die committing suicide soon but could the problems life could NOT solve be solved in death? Look at how life is leaving Ola’s squeezed long. Feel the trepidation running through each of his vein and arteries. Hear the loud cries, fading voices of his shattering heart shedding tears in agony. Look at his eyes emitting regret as crimson tear glands are marching down his distorted countenance. What a beautiful ugly feeling. Isn’t it? “Expressed sorrowfully, the old lad”
Okafor, biko show; you have indeed seen how happily Ola left just now right? Alright, now every face here, draw, draw closer. My people, I beg you to draw closer, form an encirclement around me this evening and listen attentively to the words of the wise. Listen attentively to the voice of the universe. The mother earth now cries out loud, can you all not hear her sobbing? She sobs daily as glories of people are being kept in the earth to waste even before their time. She blubbers every midnight in agony because today none is ready to wait a bit more in hopes. ‘OH! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TAKE THE LIFE YOU WERE GIVEN FOR FREE. IF HAPPINESS WILL NOT COME, GO AND GET IT YOURSELF –CREATE HAPPINESS FOR YOURSELF. LIVE AND LET LIVE. THERE ARE MANY BETTER WAYS TO DEAL WITH ANY PAIN, CHOOSE WISELY. YOUR OWN PROBLEMS CANNOT BE THE WORST.’ “Said the old lad slowly, lamenting…”.

Assumption:  An attitude of supposing a thing without proofs.
Assumption is obviously an inherent attitude found in every human being. Can we actually separate humans from assumption? It is like a virus. I call it human worst enemy to understanding people and their environments. It is simply another human weakness. The influence of assumption on humans is just indescribable take it or leave it. It is the thing of the 💓 [heart]. That is where it starts from. Have you ever asked where low and high self-esteem was coined from? It started with this evil disease called ASSUMPTION. It is a trend actually. You see it everywhere, don't you? Check your family, it is there, workplace, churches, relationship or even mosque. In HRM, it is called social judgement biases.
Assumption could be said to have come as a result of fear, avoidance of responsibility, incompetence, etc. It could also be because an individual is trying to be critical. Let's stop assuming what cannot be proofed. It is like a sin against your neighbour. Assumption is a fallacy. Let's desist from assumption. Let's move closer enough and verify to have concrete evidence; proof gives the heart and mind much more rest than assumption which could breed  paranoia and all other sorts of negative notions there are.

Let me go spiritual here. The Holy book (Bible) tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 specifically about season. Every season has its own advantage, each is to prepare you. Season here is not talking about an extended period of time or time as we know it. Season here means maturity, growth that makes you fit for a purpose.
Season can be in form of transformation. When you think about season, you imagine a transition; a process of change. There is usually a change in course, purpose, agenda and focus in season. This shows that season, here, is not static -"change", they say "is the most constant thing". You have to place yourself on a fast-forward mode here. You have to try to move from one place to another place claiming your territory wherever you find yourself. Don't ever think that transition is automatic.
The key to transition is preparation. You can't get desirable results without adequate preparation. Always give room for preparation. It goes a long way in achieving goals for your season. To every season, there is a new devil laying wait for you. Hence, before venturing into your season, you must understand what you are going into. You need to understand, through waiting. Also, your waiting must be with an understanding. Get to understand why you are waiting, very crucial -it's like the reason for your existence even.
Nonetheless, transformation is very strange to some people. They can't just move out of fear of how to integrate forgetting humans are mould to by default be able to adapt to changes no matter what. Meanwhile, the fearful ones are kind of people who have successfully of impeded themselves already. Well, I in a way agree that these set of people are already accustomed to their previous or current way of life being comfortable on a spot for they find it difficult and challenging to do something else or different. This due to fear of failing, to adjust and wherewithal to survive are what scare them most of the time.
There are dangers to this comfort zone. Comfort zone means to be satisfied and comfortable in a particular place without thinking of moving out and time and opportunities pass you by.
Comfort zone deters. You don't make progress when you are too relaxed. You must overcome it through comparison and self challenge. That's the only way you could come out of your comfort zone.
Therefore, you must locate your season and grow when necessary. Seasons are special event. They are orchestrated by nature to make you advance. Discover yourself, God factor and activities are what you need to grow.

Deriving delight as fats feeding on us ants
As tall as they are they poke the heaven loose
Set the rules for the weevils to come in and cruise
Feed on our stone-filled rice and chaff-riddened beans
To hide their big heads and fat families in their haven
Gloat us breaking frosh bread from their imported oven
And their children, children's children, friends and thugs
Take our sufferings as sport, betting on us like rugs

Revolution must come not from us but from above

Each hand must work hard and forget the federalism that is not democratic
Each head must reason and think hard for sufficiency by being authentic
Lazy dry bones must rise and walk and work and watch
All these ladies on street's sides selling their sweet pies
must repair their zip and take up the mantle of warrior

As nature will always demand we eat and drink to live

Money buys food
Foods fetch money
Workers plant food
Foods are sold for money
Not working hard now and smart
Thrusts slowly, a spear to the heart.

It is written and have been agreed to over the ages that 'knowledge is power.' But for me I would say that '...and yet knowledge is powerful enough to make one powerless necessarily.' I mean knowledge would make one to bring one's superior ego to nothingness and rethink one's steps for better. It is powerful enough to make the King, Queen or President to breakdown crying, blubbering like a feeble baby to the feet of a stinking lad. It is powerful enough to make the poor laugh at the jest of the rich against the poor. It is powerful enough to make the young to mock the legacies of the old to their wrinkled faces. Knowledge is so powerful enough to make you know you have to call your siblings you have been fighting with for years on their birthdays to wish them well. The same is so powerful enough to make you forgive and forget not because it is right or wrong but because you know you are not bigger than THE MAKER of the rights and wrongs or are you bigger than GOD?

Close to a decade back, someone close to me as your tongue is by nature conditioned to your teeth, inquired, pitifully, that "Emmanuel there are your mates, your age mates who are CEOs in Lagos State today and here you are you haven't even gained admission into the varsity yet; how would you do it?" In my mind I laughed saying "So...?" and later I voiced as I have known that "the first thing is life and everything else can then come after that for, brother, what should we both say about those who are not up to or who are my age mate who have long died and who are dying just now across this universe or am I too good to go?" There was no clear response. That was not to show that I am superior to him in knowledge acquisition. It is to show that though he is older than I am but yet I am weaker in my little knowledge to know that life is a short trip as no matter how fast one can run or how slow one can… it is still the same short trip.

Let's let live every moment with the necessary acknowledgments alongside. Yes we can fight, argue, diss, hate, misunderstand each other, dream vastly, acquire, possess, enrich ourselves incredibly and relatively, search and research for more knowledge or power and all that but we must never forget we should only do these out of the fact that we are not bigger than the natural course that one day, none of them we can use or claim as ours again and life goes on, just like that. And when that happens, something is left behind beyond just legacy --your positive/negative energy.  Consequently, breathe and let breathe, be happy and make harp for others, pave way for yourself leaving a room for others already, forgive and forget out of love not out of must, be careful of what you can do being self-evaluative by living life like you are leaving next.
